Hi Jack,
Thanks for the tip regarding Engines Plus, I think I have heard that name before, will definately give them a call and drop your name, much appreciated.
The Sr20DET seems to have a front mount sump, which looks to be the biggest problem so far, however they have worked around it in datsun 1600's so will have a look at a few of those and see if the techniques will work on the 142.
I will run with the stock driveshafts and diff to start with, but thanks for the tip re the 265 driveshaft as there are so many of those at the wreckers thanks to the dreadful/under-developed 6cyl motor.
Would like to see the S600 drag car you mention, is it a coupe or roadster version? Would definately pull better than the stock motor (although you have to love that 12,000rpm redline little screamer), and the 9" is a much better choice than the factory IRS chain drive, although I give Honda points for originality, although they loose points for chickening out and going back to a solid rear axle for the late S800. Would have been interesting to see what would have happened if you put the power from the supercharged fiat motor through the factory chain drive.
Cheers,
Daz
