prepump filter, carburated, 140-160

I'd cut back the hard line about 1/2". The best thing to use is a small tubing cutter, like one used to cut brake hardlines. Not expensive; try Schuck's or Thrifty -- Baxter's would almost certainly have one.

It's one of those tools you don't need often, but when you do, it saves you a whole lotta trouble.

There's no pressure at all between the tank and the pump, so regular old fuel line will do. I don't even use clamps there.
