The S80 is WAY too complicated and impossible for DIY repair. Reliability is reflected in low resale value: check out what a 2000 S80 goes for and you'll realize the market devalues unreliable cars.

Most Euro cars are in this category: MB, BMW, Volvo, VW are all facing significant reliability issues.
