loss of vacuum ?-> no ignition

Two things

One, with a fuse that is 10 or more years old, do not go by "looks", it may have a tiny crack(an open) resulting in erratic operation. The glow plug fuses will do this.

Two, check the so called safety device circuits such as roll over electrical shut-off that can malfunction.

Three, What is there to say that Volvo does not have its own "109 relay" that controls everything.. ??
