The VIN, including the type information, is stamped into the body between the battery box and the heater, or it's above the heater, depending on year -- harder to fake than swapping the ID plate.
Everything that makes up a GT could be special ordered, so it is possible for type 133 to be original in a non-GT. Combined with the rest of the stuff being present, though, it's a pretty good guarantee of originality (and if not, no one in the world could ever prove it isn't). A type 132 is certainly not a GT.
