New engine 700

Hi FMTB,

I'm sorry to hear that you toasted your engine :( Look for a '93+ B230FT. If the engine sticker is on the the timing belt cover it should say "L" in the bottom right corner (I think the '95s had a different sticker though). That means it has all the updates of the mid-'89 "K" block plus piston oil squrters (piston oil cooling). That's the engine you want. If you can't find that, then find a B230FT out of a '90+ as it will have the larger connecting rods and a couple other updates. The turbo manifold on a '90+ (round runners) adds ~10 hp :) Watch for cracks in the back of them though. Hope this helps!
