Hi. I install on my dizzy a "VW" electronic unit (on my 121 amazon with a B18 engine - ignition similar to B20 units). First was a Accufire, but due a human error, six months later that unit was accu-fried . Now, I use a Compufire unit (www.compufire.com), run like a charm. But best options could be a Pertronix or Crane options (see ipd website about it).
In short, it is a good upgrade, but (as a safety blanket) you need a set of points and condenser (or another electronic unit) on your glovebox.
Select a electronic unit with no automatic advance...a simple one, this way the advance curve will be managed by the centrifugal and vaccum gadgets on the distributor.
Also, on my case the electronic unit is married with a more powerfull Bosh red coil...this combo was the solution for the inconsistent quality of local gas.
Happy volving
