Hola Jorge!. Yes, volvo dizzies are counterclockwise, VW ar clockwise. But, if the only change is replacing points with a magnetic or optic electronic unit (without any advance wizardy), that gizmo work ok, only need to set again the advance with a timing light ("spark" position change a bit, tolerable).
