Thanks for the suggestions. I'm pretty familiar w/ the Solo II rulebook, unfortunately, it limits the modications that can be done...
No porting (except 1" from manifold surface)
No alternate timing gears..so they've got to be fiber.
No alternate cams
No balancing beyond the lightest rod or lightest factory piston
etc.
That's why the B20E engine is such a good place to start...high compression and good ports from the factory.
But the rules do allow nearly any intake or exhaust...so the 142 will most likely be getting fuel injection, and yes, I've got your megasquirt page bookmarked and am interested in talking with you about a system.
