M41 and overdrive 1800

I have had all the problems you are having with your volvo on my wagon. The issue with the overdrive... chances are you are going to need a new solenoid... I resulted to that, because I found no other option. For the difficulty getting the veh into gear, try rocking it back and forth in neutral for a while then putting it into third then working your way back up to first gear while engaging the clutch.. it worked for me,... maybe it will work for you.
