I believe the reason that Volvo posts no change interval and removed the dipstick was because it was filled with synthetic from the factory. The reason for the dipstick removal was so the mechanics wouldn't change the tranny fluid every 30 000 miles like the other cars. I was working at the dealer at the time so I'm pretty sure about this. The capacity listed in the owners manual is 7.5 litres.
