Considering buying an 89 244 M47 - need advice

It is a maroon/brownish color, and I saw two small spots on the trunk lid that looked like oxidized clear coat. Otherwise, the paint is beautiful. I wonder how quickly this will spread and how expensive a paint job will be for the trunk lid (and maybe hood)?
