Testing Cold-Start Injector on B21F 200 1981

Sounds like you are on the right track if you just want to make sure that the injector is not leaking any extra fuel into the engine. If you have an impulse relay fitted it should be found in front of the passenger or driver side strut tower (it is behind the windshield washer bottle on the 80+ V6's). In my dealings with the K-Jet Systems I have found that a rich (leaking injector) mixture causes a high idle and that a lean (air leak) mixture cause the rough idle you mention. I would look high, low, and in between for a loose hose, cracked gasket, leaky injector seal, or leaking K-Jet Boot. Good Luck!

Sincerely,
