lost keys for P210 444-544

Day late, drink behind, on the question of B210 locks. Picking and removing the
ignition switch is the only really sane way to go. Do it on a bench. Take the whole coil/switch assembly out of the car, replace (even if temporarily) with a generic, PepBoys type switch and seperate generic coil. That should get you driving.

Ideal would be to replace the whole thing with a coil/switch set up from a donor car, while you are replacing the ignition switch on the bench. My call is to replace locks for new ones whenever possible or practical. The ignition cylinders are sometimes available, (maybe from Bosch?)

As for door locks, I found out that the PV locks are a Briggs and Stratton(now called Stratco?)and were used on all sorts of American vehicles of the 40s and 50s. But, my own happy discovery was that the locks used by Model A guys are identical to the PV ones. A NEW matched set will cost around $30!! Sorry if I'm blabbing this all over the place, but I was really stoked to find this out. I actually tossed a box of old PV locks. My thinking is that after 45+ years of daily use, these locks need replacing, even if the replacements come from Taiwan
