Compression values on B18 engines 120-130

Oops, yeah, it was late, and i wasn't thinking straight. PCV. Sorry and thanks for setting it straight.

I can't have EGR...I had the holes in my dual downpipe exhaust manifold welded in when i installed it.

The PCV is not fully closed. the 2-bolt air cleaners i have don't have a the connection for the hose. I have one of those silly little filters on the filter cap and a hose coming from the oil separator (no flametrap) to pcv valve to large orifice nipple in center of intake.

The valve are adjusted to .016" hot and it has a race cam, not sure of the exact specs or model but it's a dog below 2500. I do have a new set of valve stem seals leftover from the last headgasket change. Looks like i know what i'm doing this weekend if i can scrounge up a new HG. Hopefully that'll slow the oil consumption rate. Besides age, what can cause the seals to go bad?

I was hoping/thinking it was the stem seals causing most of the trouble, although i definately think a re-ring is in my future.

I was embarrased the other day when a girl in topless mustang behind me was giving the universal sign of stinky.

much respect,
curtis m. white
