The Q indication was and is hardly used. If you suggest that my car originally had a cuckoo, then you're right. It has been removed from the roof however in 1979 by the PO (from Sweden), who had the car resprayed at that time, but did not reinstall the cuckoo and fitted the side signal lights instead. Shortly afterwards the car was stored and never saw daylight for 23 years until I bought it in 2002, including the cuckoo, which was in a box in the trunk. I have not been tempted yet to reinstall it either...
