As you said, building a console isn't the hardest thing ;)
It is how to solve the hatch-problem...

I was thinking of make the console in two parts. The lower part should look similiar to the one on the italian PV. The other part should work as a hatch, allowing 'easy' access to the hood release 'stick'.
