Big capacity stroker B20's are fun, but the wrong way to go IMHO. What you end up with is something that doesn't rev & it pretty much requires a diff ratio change. In the distant past we(my friends end I) built a 90mm & a 89mm welded stroker using stock early rods. Loads of bottom end torque, but no advantage over the stock stroke when raced side by side using the cam, head, etc.
My favourite combination of bottom end bits is 6.22" long Alfa rods coupled with 90.5mm VW Forged Mahles. Stronger, lighter & cheap + the long rod ratio really helps extend the powerband.
