Is it safe to drive with just an IPD header? 1800

The original exhaust manifold in my '73 1800ES broke so I replaced it with an IPD header. Is it safe to drive about 10 miles to the muffler shop or should I just call a tow truck? I know that the noise will be be as loud as a funny car but will I damage anything running it that way?
