Normal car dealers never "fix" anything. They are in the business of remove and replace. That will be very expensive! Are there no independent mechanics where you live? A used, tested, tranny from a junk yard should only cost about $350 or so. Labor to remove and replace should be around 5 hours at the most. The dealer will probably quote you a price of around $3,000.
So will AAmco, the worst place to get a tranny fixed.
