When I removed the lock cylinder on my 855T '95, I used Bay 13 procedure and it take me (a amateur)15 minutes. Remove 4 torx from the underside of the cover, two ordinary screws holding the electrical switch plate and turning the lock to position 1 using the key. Using a small drill to depress the springloaded tab and the cylinder was in my hand. I oiled mine as it didn't turn properly, causing weired effects as ABS faults and engine cut-outs. I did not buy a new lock and therefore has no knowledge whether they are coded or not. Good luck.
