What is 'wrong' with the AWD is the viscous coupling, the fluid gets warm after driving in a straight line and engages the rear drive. So if you then drive slowly and make a sharp turn, the rear wheels are engaged and it shudders. Not a big deal. The bevel gear oil has been flushed, I drilled a hole in the casing to make it easier to flush.
The parking brake cables need to be replaced, they were sticky from lack of use. And probably the shoes are worn down, so it will need new shoes, hangers, springs, and probably rotors. Also, no big deal.
Of the 4 cars in my garage, only the 220 is NOT awd. I really do not NEED a 5th car. But the V70 is soooo comfortable to sit in for long trips, something us Midwesterners do a lot of.
