I sold a 97 S90 and have regretted it ever since because I just liked it better than the others I've had. At $2500 or $3000 it's a hobby. Bass boats go for substantially more. It used to be that a Nikon and assorted equipment could go for $2000 or so. Aren't there some pretty expensive fly rods? And don't get me started on collecting guns. It's in the range of a decent hobby and if you don't mind the maintenance I'd go for it. If it turns out to be a bigger problem than you anticipate you can always sell it again probably for what you'd have into it. Buy it.
