Air working intermittently

Well, that into another question. My driver side temp control dial doesn't work well. If you move it warmer it will stick (internally) at a hot/warm temp. The passenger side works perfect.
If you turn the driver side dial to full hot all vents shut and you get defrost whereas on the passenger side the air just comes out of the vent warmer like it's supposed to do.
