Air working intermittently

The cabin temp sensor is not part of the unit but just to the left. It does get dirty and will need cleaning.

One of you problems could be the compressor clutch gap is too large. It should be under .030 and will stop working when it gets over .040 and the compressor warms up. Look for the 'bread clip' solution on Volvospeed.com

What the bread clip does is close the gap. I used pieces of aluminum that are about .020 in thickness and glued all 3 to the clutch. The AC no longer turns off - air blows cold like it should.

The fact that the driver's temp switch has failed is a problem and can only be resolved by a 'new' ECC unit.

You R134a may be low, but that is easily fixed. Save that for last.
