Snow tire question S70

That's an unusual recommendation and the first time I've heard of it.
Will have to look in to it more.

I wholeheartedly agree that 4 winter tires is the way to go.
However, when things are tight (money wise) I have been know to go with only two winter tires mounted on the driving axle.
I have not experienced poor handling issues in Southern New England winters using this method (2 winter tires). Come to think of it though, I've only had RWD cars until recently.
