Power is at least "adequate". It's turbocharged, so should do just fine at altitude climbing, say, the Rockies.
Seems more manuverable than my car, but, of course, it's smaller. Really, there are far worse choices out there.
Vs. a Saab 9-3? The current 9-3 is going to replaced soon, the design is relatively dated, and if a manual transmission isn't a consideration, I'd give the nod to the Volvo.
Vs. a Camry-Accord-Subaru Legacy? Probably all more reliable, but also pretty bland.
Vs. the VW Passat? Also turbocharged (1.8T). I'd certainly look at the Passat, too.
