Sorry for not answering sooner Klaus,
I believe he was an overworked mechanic. We were there around lunch hour when the place was deserted and the sales guy commented that "everyone was on vacation".
The upper mount is def loose and the stabilizer bar is also loose in its mount. If I grab the bar, with only modest fore and aft pushing and pulling I bet I can get 30 to 40 degrees of rotation.
However, we did take a long drive with the car this past weekend and I didn't notice any undue vibration except a slight power drag when the AC compressor kicked on.
Others have recommended using the older round style upper mount and I see I would have to purchase the two left and right assemblies that support the stabilizer bar, as bushings are not available. Typical..... Since I just spent a pile of dough on initial servicing, the mounts will have to wait.
I am following this post to see how the op solves his vibration problem.
Thanks,
Marty
