120 PSI on Low-Side of AC -- What to do? 850 1995

I have a 1995 850 Sedan that I thought needed to be recharged because compressor doesn't run unless I by-pass low-side pressure sensor. However, when I took a pressure measurement on low-side as described in threads here (running the car and compressor for 3-4 minutes, tapping the 6nm valve, etc.), the PSI is 120 -- in the RED. Re-tried measurement a couple of times with same result. All recharge kit says if pressure reading in RED, do not charge but take to qualifieid mechanic because there could be something else wrong with the system. No kidding. Any clue why I would get 120 PSI on the low side and what I should do?

Thanks in advance.

- Dave
