Well, for my two cents worth and my worth is a penny on each too!

I ponder a leaky bellows hose behind the AMM or a worn out idle control motor that is changing up conditions.

The loss of power works for those or a crank position sensor. It affects the timing that plops with a big thump of stuff for the ECU to compensate for.

Don't look too close. I may have spent three cents!
