Susan's Got Spark, Got Fuel, and Bad Idle on 940!!! 900

You don't need to or want to take it apart, all you want to do is stick a tooth pick or popsicle stick in on of the openings and see if you can move the vane. Don't use metal like a screw driver you want something soft like wood so as not to scratch the vane.

If it is not gunked up it should move easily by hand or applying 12 volts across the connectors, if it does not move the old one is bad.

The vane is what you want to clean and make sure it is free moving, this is what opens and closes at idle to let air bypass the closed throttle body plate.

Hold the IAC valve so that any cleaner sprayed into it does not have a chance to get into the motor ore electrical part.
