Hi muskox37,
Found the diagram on 1981 two channel stereo may very likely be the same as on your 1982 GLT VOLVO 4 STEREO, model no. RX-93UK
From Volvo pub TP 30309 "New Car Features 1981 USA and Canada"

One of the sites in the post k-jet.org era to help.
TP 30309 there is separated into four PDF files.
Recorded a screen capture of the PDF page with this info.
To help you and Phil in your discussion. Sorry for the late reply.

The wire insulation colors out of the radio change at the connector(s). You may have the dash mount fader control for variable output to the stereo front and stereo rear speakers.
I believe this to be an early Mitsubishi cassette / stereo for Volvo. You may be able to get replacement drive belts.
A source I have used for replacement drive belt you measure, and Kens Electronic adjusts for belt stretch in Kalamazoo, MI:

So long as the rubber pressure rollers that press against the capstans during play for cassette tap transport, with health drive belt, all should be well.
The auto reverse mechanism uses two capstan / pressure roller. I'll guess RX-93UK uses a long drive belt or uses two drive belt to drive two flywheels that are part of the capstan. Some cleaning and lubrication for your RX-93UK!
Hope that helps you.
