thanks for explaining CONST 200 1982

Hello again Phil,

I am using the Haynes manual so we are both looking at the same diagram. I did wonder what CONST meant. Construction? Constitution? I ran through a variety of possibles but did not get to "constant". Regardless, I have no green wire running to the radio so I take it mine is wired somewhat differently.

I think the RED wire is supposed to run to a power antennae motor. My aerial is moved up and down manually. And I think I remember a red wire running to a connector that went nowhere.

I think the all WHITE wire is part of the speaker network. As is the non-fused BLUE wire.

What I am left with is the BLACK wire to ground and the FUSED BLUE wire as the power source. Today I will connect these two wires to a battery to see if I can get the cassette tray to work while I clean it up with isopropyl alcohol.

I do have the two speakers in the doors but a previous owner has put a couple of speakers in the rear parcel tray and I think the two door speakers are disconnected.

Thanks a bundle for your very useful input, Phil. Very nice logical analysis.

Bob
