I find that most of my driving puts me on the highway and it's been said that an OD transmission is one of the nicer things to give an Amazon. Now with all new bushings, new ball joints, new progressive lowered springs and bilstiens, even without an OD 'the Bird' sure does like to fly! An OD would be nice for comfort, noise and mileage, but my 122 started life as an automatic, so I'm unsure about how easy it's going to be to drop an OD trans in. Here's a picture of the 'support system' the transmission now has. Can anyone who has put an OD trans in (either replacing an auto or 4-speed) take a look and see if they think an OD trans will be a feasable thing, or give me an idea if what's under my car is totally one-off and I'll have to come up with a whole new support if I want to put an OD in?
Thanks!

And oh yeah, I know it's a little oily under there. Mostly (I think) from a leaking valve cover gasket a while back.
