Take a piece of wire about 6" long. On the right side of the fuses connect fuse 4 post to fuse 6 post. Once this is in place (and the battery is charged and connected) you should hear the pumps running.
If the car starts with this "jumper" in place you have narrowed your problem to two possibilities: Either the fuelpump relay or the ECU is bad. The puelpump relay is located on the firewall behind the knee bolster on the passengers side. Usually a resoldering of the joints in the relay will put it right should that be the problem, otherwise a 951 replacement for the 561 is the answer (ie: if the relay is known to be good and it will not run without the jumper in place then replace the ECU)
The pumps will run when ever this jumper is in place so be sure to disconnect it when you shut off the engine. Our 240's carry a length of wire with alligator clips on the ends to facilitate getting a car home if the fuelpump relay fails or the ECU fails to provide a ground for that circuit.
Let us know what you find.
