Here's a question, then: 140-160 1974

As a formally trained Michelin tire guy, what's the explanation for an overinflated tire wearing down the centre and an underinflated tire scrubbing the shoulders, if it's not related to a change in the contact area? Not to be snide, I just assumed that was the logical explanation.
