You all may recall my annoying no-start of a week ago after a routine tune-up. I got it running poorly, but had to leave town for a week. I was hoping the beast would heal itself. No such luck.
Here's the deal:
Timing's good, plug wire order is good, dwell is good, valve clearance is good.
The motor will run on cylinders 1 and 2, but 3 and 4 won't fire. The exhaust runners are cold.
There is spark there (I checked by using one of the old plugs on the block.) There is apparently fuel, because when I pulled the new plugs to check the gap, they were wet.
What to check next?
This quote from Winston Churchill seems apropos:
"Never give in--never, never, never, never."
Thanks in advance,
Steve M.
