240 died at highway speed and then no start

Check for timing belt by taking off oil filler cap and observing cam shaft while cranking engine (it should turn!).
Check for spark, pull plug wire, insert screwdriver, place near ground (car body or engine will work, crank engine, watch for a big spark.
Jumper at fuse to turn on pump. Or bring a spare relay and put in. I kinda doubt the relay as they are intermittent. This sounds like a more catatrophic failure, broken timing belt, failed cranksensor or failed fuel pump (expensive).
Personally, if I liked the car I would just by it. The problem should be fairly easy to fix.
