Thanks for the responses!
I checked my records for any substantial repairs besides general wear and tear repairs/replacements.
The PCV system was cleaned, flame trap and nipple replaced at 25k.
Other than that, repairs done were on my watch between 150k and 180k.
The battery and alternator are new. The throttle housing was cleaned and reset. Fuel filter is new. Dist. cap, rotor, plugs and wires are new. These things I guess is what a mechanic would typicaly replace when I said the car randomly stalls.
The items; Fuel pump relay, Crank Sensor, 25 amp fuse or Fuse holder, seem to be commons problems in these threads. Also vacuum leaks I see alot of.
I think I found the Fuel-injection relay, it looks original, but should I flat-out replace it? And what is that Bosch box that it is strapped to?
Also, is the 25A fuse close to the coil? What do I look for when I find it?
The fuses look older, but I guess I could replace all of them.
I did a Volvo Code Retrieval thanks to a great thread I came across. The only trouble code that registered was a 2-1-4, which is an... ignition RPM signal erratic.
The intermittent stall is hard to pin down. It is not a consistent thing. I can go a week of regular driving without a stall, then one day I will be at a stoplight and it stalls. Or waiting in traffic, coming to a stop to shift into drive after reversing out of a parking place(by the way, my reverse shudders quite a bit), coasting down my driveway, whatever, it will stall. Sometimes once during the day. Sometimes more than that. When it does stall, I quickly place into nuetral and it starts right up and off I go. I have come to live with this, but I don't want my 16 year-old to have to go through this.
I used to think it had something to do with the automatic transmission. It seemed to stall more times than not when coming to a slow stop, like the automatic downshifting into first, or when I come out of the reverse and into drive. And the shuddering thing while in reverse.
I don't know! I haven't been able to find any problems like this in the forums.
The "warm" start problem is another animal to address. The car has no "cold" start problems, she does fine first thing in the AM. The thread before this looks like it has a similar problem, but with an older model.
