Hidden fuel filter 140-160

Weber carbs have a built in fuel filter, which is often overlooked. There is a 19mm brass nut right next to the fuel inlet. It may be on top or underneath, depending on model. Remove it, and there is a fine brass screen. Is it clogged with debris?

I don't think it's possible to install the fuel pump with the lever on the wrong side of the cam. What is possible (though unlikely) is that the lobe is worn down and doesn't move it through a full stroke any more.

As far as I know, it is not possible to connect a kickdown cable to a Weber conversion, so that probably isn't your problem.
