BW35 no 2-3 shift 140-160 1974

In my experience the lack of a 2-3 shift is the failure of the front clutch apply piston, caused by the disintegration of the diampragm spring. The band controls the 1-2 shift. The 2-3 is a clutch. Over-reving is slipping.
This seems to be a typical failure for the BW35 as I recall - its been a while since I rebuilt one.....
