BW35 no 2-3 shift 140-160 1974

thanks guys, will take a look. My initial reaction was fluid too.

if I end up with this thing, I'll have to get some green books. Haynes might as well have stated inre the BW unit: "do not open the magic hydraulic box"...

if it is the valve/piston, how much damage can I expect to have been done from it trying to engage? I can only assume those are some close tolerances.
