How to install a M41? 140-160

What ring and pinion did you use when you tried it?

Always used a 4:10. Here in Portland I have plenty of gear. Up in Seattle where I run every once and a while I just about run out of gearing. I have a 4:56 that I think about using now and again. I think I might start hitting the 7500 rpm red line though.

I friend just told me that I may need to change the output flange on the OD unit to run the smaller drive shaft.

You will.

What I need is a close ratio gearbox!

That would be nice but I don't think it would legal for ITB. You could get it from the R-sport catalog never in a production car. I had heard that the 72 and later had a little closer gearing in some of the gears. I have not seen proof of this though.

Where do you run?

Marc
