The latest engine the SU book shows HS6 carbs used on is the B20B and
they used KN needles on it. I would suggest them as possibly a bit better
than DX.
But I suspect maybe your rebuilder put in the wrong needles, especially if he
rebuilds a wide range of SU carbs.
And again, USUALLY, unless there have been really big changes in the engine,
the problem will be somewhere else and not in the needles. There are certainly
exceptions!
