Thanks Bob. I tried to put some R134a in there but it doesn't seem to take it. I just plug in the can (new one), open it up (new hose), and watch the guage, but the needle doesn't move at all and the can does not get any lighter. So it seems that it will not go in. Do you have to get the compressor running to make the refrigerant flow in ? Thanks again. jim
