Hello - thanks to all for the replies. You are entirely right - it is turning over, but not starting. I guess I would describe it as sounding like it is chugging along but not catching. I'll try to clean the battery cables and see if that makes a difference. I think we have a manual for the car and maybe this will help me better discover and describe the problem.
