A newcomer's question about my 122S 120-130 1964

Ammon,
As has been said, if the motor is cranking, you battery leads and battery are most likely okay. One more cable item though, there should be a woven metal strap, or a fairly heavy cable grounding the engine's bell housing to the car body. Make sure it's there and that its ends are clean.

To check if you're getting gas to the carbs, disconnect the fuel hose between the fuel pump - forward on the engine on the driver's side - and the carbs, hang the end in a coffee can, and have your girlfriend crank over the engine on the starter for a moment. You should get a good gush of gas. Don't smoke while you do this. ;-)
