Air-Temp Sensor 120-130 1967

Yes, it pokes through the bulkhead so that it can sample ambient air blowing in through the grill.

There should also be coolant temp sensor that is separate from the one used to feed the guage in the instrument cluster - as I recall it is located in the RH side of the head right up front by the cold idle bypass valve.

Another component you may be overlooking is the thermal time switch that also samples the coolant temp and is located in the RH side of the block toward the back end. It tells the cold start injector whether it needs to squirt or not.
