Thanks for the tips vvpete. The car had a 933 ecu in it when I bought and there was no record of it ever being replaced and the car does have an egr. The replacement 933 came out of a 1990 or 1991 740. I had read somewhere that the 556 and 933 should both work for a 240 with egr. Do you think my car might have had a different ecu originally? Thanks, Tom
