Is it possible there is something amiss with the kickdown cable? To maybe cause it to always be running in "kickdown" mode? The only reason I ask is that this started pretty out of the blue (one day it was fine, the next it wouldn't shift to third) and the only thing I touched between was monkeying around under the dash a bit to disconnect the speedo cable from the cluster. Possible I bumped, nudged, or shifted something in the process?
Just looking for things to look for externally before I try tearing into the guts.
